This annual tour of neighborhood homes grows more popular every year. While there are only five homes on the tour each year, the entire district is on display to the hundreds of guests who walk through Broadway. Visitors enjoy trolley and horse drawn carriage rides through the neighborhood. Actors in period costumes portray early residents of the homes. Refreshments and activities are held at "Broadway Square". Until 2004, the tour of homes has been traditionally held on Mother's Day, however, the Tour Committee has decided to have the tour on the Sunday after Mother's Day. Hopefully this will allow those who had other Mothers' Day plans to be able to attend the Broadway Tour of Homes. It will also let the many volunteers who make the Broadway Tour of Homes a great success spend Mother's Day with their families.
