Tour of Homes 2004

Broadway’s Tour of Homes was held on Sunday, May 16.  The Tour of Homes, entitled “Come Back to Life in Broadway,” has traditionally been held on Mother’s Day but was moved back a week to take advantage of possible better weather and not conflict with other Mother's Day activities.

Once again the homes featured this year highlighted the bond of modern family life with historic architecture and interiors. New construction in the neighborhood was an addition to the tour this year. Featured homes include:

1046 17th Street, owned by Jason and Lori Wheeler

1036 21st Street, owned by Ken and Amy Bratsch

1209 21st Street, owned by Rita Pillard

944 22nd Street, owned by Jeff Ignatius and Pam Kennerly

and as a bonus, 1600 20th Street, the Parish House at First Lutheran Church.

Actors portraying the homes’ original owners greeted visitors at the door of each home. And this year, two historic trolleys transported guests around the neighborhood with a narrated tour of the Broadway Historic District.
